DIRECTOR OF NURSING AND MIDWIFE

Mrs NIZEYEMARIYA Leonille was appointed as Acting Director of Nursing and Midwife since July 2020. Mrs Leonille was in Clinical since 1998 and occupied defferent positions, Head of Department of Hospitalization, Chief Nursing, TB Supervison, Internal Revery and actually was occupied the position of Director of Nursing and Midwifery. 

Mrs NIZEYEMARIYA Leonille has Bachelor's Degree of Science in Nursing from Mount Kenya University of Rwanda (MKUR).

DIRECTOR OF NURSING AND MIDWIFE

 PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Supervise and verify the respect of norms and technique of nursing care within the service
  • Assure that the medical order prescription is implemented correctly and timely
  • Participante in Ward round
  • Complete the hospitalization register, surveillance documents and schedule plan
  • Do ISM (information system management) within the service
  • Assure the management of important document for father realization of her department
  • Assure the good management of stock and do necessary requisitions for the service
  • Plan and coordinate the inpatient information health education
  • Assure the clinical supervision of the nurses under his responsibility and student in internship
  • Participate in staff meeting
  • Assure the responsibility of good hygiene and safe injection in the service
  • Prepare annual leave and work schedule within the service
  • Insure the punctuality and discipline of the personnel under his responsible
  • Prepare the monthly and trimester report of the service activities
  • Assure the daily schedule of every member of his team
  • Participate in personnel evaluation
  • Assure the inventory of equipments and materials within the service
  • Assure the proper management of equipment and materials within the service under his responsibility
  • Organize the monthly quality assurance meetings

REPORTING

  • To do all required reports in clinical department under his responsibility timely and document them
  • With director of nursing, ensure proper communication of feedback from meeting and workshop attended and other administrative information

 QUALITY IMPROVEMENT AND SAFETY

  • To be the key of continuous quality improvement within his service 
  • To make implementation follow-up of recommendations from data analysis of quality improvement
  • Based on standards compliance assessment findings, plan for quality improvement
