DIRECTOR GENERAL

Dr. JARIBU THEOGENE, MD, is Director General of Remera Rukoma Hospital appointed in 2015.   Dr Jaribu THEOGENE Was working in different hospital since 2008: Nemba, Ruhengeri, King Faysal, and Kacyiru Hospital.  The hospital is located in kamonyi district and have 14 health centers. Prior to work in  Remera rukoma Hospital, He served for for Unated Nation mission in Haiti as Chief medical officer for UN clinic.

CURATIVE ACTIVITIES

  • To deliver, authorize transfers and death certificates of admitted patients
  • Perform surgical and gyneco-obstetrics procedures.
  • To make in each department at least one visit per week.

 PLANNING, MONITORING AND EVALUATION

  • Health centers mentorship by formative technical supervision
  • Supervise quality of care provided by hospital staff (Physicians, Nurses and paramedical staff)
  • Conduct morning clinical staff meetings in collaboration with clinical director.
  • Organize and conduct meetings with hospital medical staff
  • Initiate and organize operational research within hospital
  • Organize, conduct and coordinate accreditation committee meetings

INFRASTRUCTURE

  • To approve plan and construction budgets or proposed rehabilitation
  • Supervise construction on-going Works
  • To approve report of hospital construction and rehabilitation needs assessment.

FINANCIAL RESOURCES AND ASSETS MANAGEMENT

  • To approve Hospital consumption reports and purchase orders.
  • To approve hospital report on drugs management.
  • Approve hospital report on management of different stores (office supplies, material).
  • To supervise hospital financial management.
  • To approuve Financial statements
  • Organize and chair Hospital management committee
  • To present different financial reports to hospital board of directors.
  • To approve forecasted annual budget prepared by Hospital administrator.
  • Support Billings system of cost
  • To approuve all payements

HOSPITAL DATA MANAGEMENT

  • To approve hospital SIS report for health centers working in hospital catchment area.
  • To approve hospital monthly, quarterly and annual report of different departments activities.

ADMINISTRATIVE & HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT

  • To approve night duty rosters established by director of nursing and clinical director and annual leaves established by human resources officer.
  • To chair quarterly and annual evaluation of staff meetings
  • Proceed in conflict management between personnel
  • Implement sanctions measures in case of personnel misconduct and bad service delivery.
  • To approve evaluation of training needs of personnel.
  • Participate actively in elaboration of training module
  • Approve plan and organization of continuous on-job training of hospital staff
